New items have been brought into the shop over the last few weeks but whenever I’ve been about to press Publish to add them to the website, a customer has bought them! However, I have just added two new stock items to the website this afternoon. One is a lovely light pink summer dress in a size similar to a UK size 14 1960s Day Dress and a gorgeous pair of 1940s Utility Shoes
Yes, Spring has truly sprung here at Stardust Years Vintage with our Spring wardrobe gradually being introduced to the shop and to our website. As you know, our website only has a fraction of the stock we have in the shop, mainly due to the ineptitude of the staff…oh, that’s me!! Vintage fashion, vintage brain when it comes to most matters digital, I’m afraid, so I’m quite slow at putting items here on the website. Please forgive me.
However, I have added, this week, two items ideal for Spring! A lovely 1960s dress http://www.stardustyears.com/product/1960s-dress/ and a gorgeous spring coat by that great vintage company, Deréta http://www.stardustyears.com/product/dereta-vintage-coat/
Keep visiting our website as I will be adding vintage items for the new season as well as posting news of our forthcoming Vintage Catwalk Show in April with Winchester Fashion Week!
Just arrived – a stunning 1940s black velvet dress with applique detail and a matching dress and coat set from the late Fifties, early Sixties.
I have two more original 1960s dress and coat suits to add to the website so, if you’re looking for something elegant but unique to wear to a wedding, do visit again soon. Or pop into our Winchester shop.
I know, no one wants to see the sun go down on the long summer evenings but, look on the bright side… Stardust Years will be bringing you lovely coats and jackets for those golden autumnal days, like this rich teal 1960s suede leather coat
Keep an eye on the website; you know how digitally-challenged I am so it takes me a little while and we have so many wonderful treasures here! If you can’t wait for ye olde Karen to upload her poor girl’s attempts to emulate Cecil Beaton or David Bailey then come along to our Winchester shop – you’ll be in for a treat!
Stardust Years Vintage Year
Thank you so much to our friends and customers who came along on 12th July 2014 to help us celebrate our First Birthday!
Many thanks to Ema Doherty www.exactmakeupart.com for her excellent late-1960s make up demonstration; our model, Clare (more used to painting models than being one!) looked wonderful and, if you look in our Cocktail Dress category, you can see, in more detail, the 1960s dress she modelled on the day. Ema put the 1960s look she was creating into a social and historical context and it was fascinating!

I’d love to ask Ema to return and do the same for us with a different decade. Any ideas? Do email me with your thoughts and we’ll see if Ema can repeat the event on the most popular one! email@example.com
As well as fitting on some new stock items, customers were treated to some of Gary’s very own toots and some even had a go pressing his paddles! One particular lady really gave Gary a run for his money while her lovely daughter modelled one of our Horrockses dresses.

We could not let the day go by without the odd tipple or two and customers enjoyed a lovely Stardust Years Cocktail, created by Gary’s fair hand. Yes, one or two ladies reported having wobbled home that day!
